Design. Is the pillow a solid color, or does it have some sort of design on it? Would the design match with an existing rug or other accessory in the room? Season. Some people like to vary their decor based on season. For instance, they might choose darker solid colors for a room in winter, to heighten the atmosphere of coziness on a cold evening, while in spring or summer they might opt for brighter colors that catch the natural light in the room and enhance the atmosphere of liveliness and renewal.
